DAF's new generation of long-distance transport trucks won the title of "2022 International Trucks". The award was presented at the Solutrans Truck and Transport Exhibition in Lyon, France. DAF also won the "2022 Truck Innovation Award" for its XF innovative truck equipped with a hydrogen internal combustion engine.
According to the International Truck of the Year (IToY) rules, the annual award is given to the truck that has been launched in the past year and has made the most significant contribution to the efficiency of road transportation. This judgment relies on a series of comprehensive criteria, including technological innovation, comfort, safety, driving performance, fuel economy, environmental "footprint" and total cost of ownership (TCO).
