iRacing 2022 Season 3 has arrived with three new cars, three new tracks, and a wealth of updates.

A substantial new update has landed in iRacing. Kicking off today, iRacing 2022 Season 3 adds a wealth of new content including three new cars, and three new tracks.

Additionally, the update adds a new damage model for specific cars and a host of improvements. There's a lot to unpack here, so let's dig in.

Three new cars join iRacing’s ever-expanding car roster in 2022 Season 3. These include the 2020 Mercedes-AMG GT3, an updated version of the old model with improved aerodynamics and a 6.3-litre V8 producing 550 horsepower. All that power is sent through a sequential six-speed transmission.

Joining the AMG GT3 is its bigger brother, the Mercedes-AMG GT4. Making its iRacing debut, the AMG GT4 uses the same 4.0-litre V8 engine as its road car sibling rated at 544 horsepower.

Rounding off the 2022 Season 3 cars is the Radical SR10. Joining the Radical SR8 in iRacing, the SR10 generates 425 horsepower. Weighing only 725 kilograms, a low power-to-weight ratio means the British track toy will sprint from 0-60 mph in a blistering 2.4 seconds.

iRacing 2022 Season 3 also adds three new tracks. Teased last month, Fuji International Speedway is now available in iRacing. First opened in 1965, the Japanese circuit is 2.835 miles and features 16 turns in its current configuration.

Fuji has been a staple of Gran Turismo’s track roster for years, but iRacing’s versions will be more accurate thanks to meticulous laser scanning.

Sandown Motor Raceway, on the other hand, is located in Springvale, Australia. First opened in 1962, the Australian circuit famously hosted six Australian Grand Prix races. In its current layout, Sandown Motor Raceway measures 1.928 miles and features 13 turns.

Port Royal Speedway is the third new track, nicknamed the “The Speed Palace.” Based in Pennsylvania, USA, the half-mile long circuit hosts Sprint Car, Late Model, and Pro-Stock dirt races.

As well as new content, one of the most significant updates in the 2022 Season 3 update is a new damage model. iRacing’s new damage model is applied to three of the NASCAR NextGen cars along with the Mercedes-AMG GT4 and the Radical SR10.

The 2022 Season 3 update also overhauls the UI. A new and improved dashboard provides quick access to the latest iRacing news, key racing functions, and your latest results and stats.

Other improvements in the 2022 Season 3 update include new AI cars, four new track configurations for AI races, and Start Zones for all NASCAR Cup oval tracks.
