Hyundai continues to shift its strategy towards fast-selling SUVs (the lineup now has seven models of different sizes and powertrains) and the electrification of its vehicles. In 2022, Hyundai Motor will launch the new Ioniq 5, Santa Cruz and Tucson, while its cars and hatchbacks will have only minor changes.

Other changes to each model series are listed in alphabetical order below.

Hyundai’s smallest and most affordable Accent sedan will remain unchanged in 2022, except for the standard anti-theft device.

Hyundai has launched a new N Performance model for the 2022 model year, equipped with a roaring 276-horsepower engine that matches the available 6-speed manual transmission for the Elantra compact sedan. Supporting the car is a specially tuned sports suspension with rear struts. You will not mistake N for an ordinary Elantra, because it prides itself on its unique styling and internal and external logos.

Otherwise, the Elantra is the carryover model for 2021.

Ioniq hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) hatchbacks will not see any changes in 2022. You can no longer get the Ioniq EV because Hyundai Motor uses the Ioniq 5 name for its new cross-border electric vehicle (EV).

According to Hyundai, the Ioniq EV is equipped with the new Ioniq 5 model with a target range of 300 miles and a fast 800-volt multi-charging function that can charge your battery by 10% to 80% in 18 minutes.

The modern and stylish small Kona crossover has undergone a fairly comprehensive redesign for the 2022 model year, increasing its length by 1.6 inches, changing the profile and creating more cargo and passenger space. It also has new front and rear trim panels and more refined interiors and technology. The basic engine is still a 2.0-liter I4, but the Limited and N Line trim levels are driven by a turbocharged 1.6-liter I4, which now produces 195 horsepower.

At the same time, the Kona N performance model has improved its athletic ability through a turbocharged 280-horsepower 2.0-liter I4 and a large number of performance upgrades.

Hyundai Motor's hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle Nexo, which only launched in California, has upgraded its digital instrument cluster, which will increase from 7 inches to 10.25 inches by 2022.

Palisade's basic SE decoration received a major safety upgrade in 2022, with standard blind spot avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist, safety exit assist, and side-view mirrors with integrated side turn indicators.

The modern new Santa Cruz adopts the front crossover and rear pickup design of Chevrolet El Camino and Subaru Baja. Under the hood is a 190-horsepower 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine, and a 275-horsepower turbocharged I4 is offered as an upgrade. Both engines offer all-wheel drive; the Turbo model gives you 5,000 pounds of towing capacity.

The medium-sized Santa Fe SUV has a new PHEV version with a pure electric range of 30 miles. The combined 260-horsepower power plant has an average fuel consumption of approximately 33 miles per gallon. In addition, the new XRT trim level was unveiled for the first time, with darker wheels and front grille, stronger side cladding and step rails.

At the same time, the basic SE has received safety upgrades, equipped with new standard side-view mirrors with turn signals, blind spot collision avoidance assistance, rear intersection collision avoidance assistance and safety exit assistance.

Hyundai's mid-size Sonata sedan will launch the new N Line Night Edition with unique wheels, badges and spoilers in 2022. In addition, the dynamic speech recognition and road driving assistance, 10.3-inch touch screen and panoramic sunroof provided in the previous technology package are now standard equipment in the SEL Plus interior.

Hyundai Motors enters 2022 with the new Hyundai Tucson, which has a variety of power system options-including gas-electric hybrid and plug-in versions-and two new performance-oriented iterations. The Tucson compact crossover is Hyundai's best-selling model and the most important model of the brand. In 2022, the fourth-generation Tucson will debut; it is longer and wider than ever before, and is equipped with the latest infotainment and security technology.

Veloster is a rogue with a 3-door hatchback, only in the form of Veloster N. It contains 275 horsepower, which matches your choice of 6-speed manual or 8-speed N dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The engine anti-theft device is the standard configuration of all decoration levels, the electric sunroof is the standard configuration of SEL, and the denim decoration is now called Limited. Otherwise, the Hyundai Venue ultra-small sports ute will remain unchanged in 2022.
