The FIA rejected Mercedes’ right of review after asking race managers to re-examine the incident between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen at the São Paulo Grand Prix-which means that the matter will not be subject to review. After investigating again, Verstappen will not be punished. The FIA document reads: "The referee rejected the contestant's application for review in accordance with Article 14 of the ISC."
Mercedes stated that new evidence emerged after the Interlagos incident, which was initially considered a racing incident. They proposed the right to review and hope that the FIA can conduct a comprehensive review of the incident.
A hearing was held before the Qatar Grand Prix on Thursday, and the hearing lasted overnight until Friday. On Sunday, Red Bull Racing's Verstappen was seen pushing Hamilton away at the exit of Turn 4 in Brazil, and the two were fighting for the lead in the race.
When Verstappen strayed from the corner of the kick, Hamilton was on the outside of the champions. The seven-time world champion took evasive action and both cars ran off the track.
The housekeeper "noted" the incident, but decided not to investigate it. The FIA rules and regulations stipulate that Formula One racing strictly prohibits actions that "easy to hinder other drivers", such as pushing the car away and off the track, or "unusually" changing direction.
They added: “Any driver who commits any of the above crimes will be reported to the butler.”

On Friday, the administrator confirmed their decision and wrote in a statement: “The administrator received the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 team (“Participants”) in accordance with Article 14 of the FIA International Sports Code ( "ISC") on November 16, 2021.
"This is within the 14 calendar days specified in Article 14.4.1 of the ISC. On November 18, 2021, a video conference hearing was held at 1700 hours local time in Qatar, attended by the following people:
"Decision: The referee rejected the contestant's application for review in accordance with Article 14 of the ISC."
This means that Verstappen will not be punished for the incident, although Mercedes is unlikely to be satisfied with the results of the investigation.
After the race, former F1 driver Martin Brundle believed that the retroactive punishment of Verstappen by the FIA was “crazy”, admitting that they might not punish the Dutch for admitting their mistakes. Feeling "embarrassed" on Sunday.

"The initial hearing was about whether they will continue the full review. The FIA tends to shut it out. They don't want to change things retroactively. They don't want to be embarrassed by doing something wrong," Blundell told Sky physical education.
"If it goes too far, I will be surprised, but let us wait and see.
"They should investigate there and then look back at the game last week. I think it's crazy.
"Due to the points situation, it is impossible to win the championship here in Qatar, with 78 points left.
"The minimum that Mercedes will get rid of is to poke Red Bull and distract Red Bull in some way, but apply penalties retrospectively-it's like a big derby game in the Premier League, Sunday and the next I won 2-1 on Thursday. Some people say that I have a new perspective on VAR. It is actually 1-1, not 2-1.
"Because if they punish Verstappen retroactively, Red Bull will say,'Look, as soon as Hamilton passed us, we cruised. We are just ahead of Bottas. He is three seconds and one point ahead of Bottas.
"Considering the 5-second penalty, he can start swapping positions around the end of last week.
"I think Mercedes will try to fish as long as they can get hearings, such as free throws here.
"But at least some spotlight pressure has to be applied to Red Bull and Max Verstappen."
