Honda Australia has confirmed that the Civic compact hatchback will enter the high-end market with its 11th generation, and announced that the redesigned market segment will start at close to $50,000.
Although the entry-level VTi-S and flagship RS of the 10th-generation Civic hatchback (excluding Type R) have recently been priced from US$31,000 to US$39,600 respectively, the new model will be launched on December 6th in a single class called VTi-LX, starting at USD 47,200 (day/year).
The VTi-LX is powered by an improved 1.5-liter turbo gasoline four-cylinder engine that can generate 131 kW (+4 kW) at 6000 rpm and 240 Nm at 1700-4500 rpm The torque (+20 Nm), and the same upgraded continuously variable transmission (CVT) with front-wheel drive.
In other words, the second power system option will appear in the form of a "self-charging" hybrid electric vehicle called e:HEV in the second half of 2022. It combines a gasoline engine with an electric motor to reduce fuel consumption in the combined cycle test (ADR) from 6.3L/100km.

Compared with the previous generation, VTi-LX has added a sports drive mode (adding ordinary and economical), two-tone 18-inch alloy wheels and heated automatic folding side-view mirrors.
The interior is equipped with a 9.0-inch touch screen multimedia system that supports wireless updates, wireless Apple CarPlay support, 12-speaker Bose sound system, wireless smart phone charger, four-way power-adjustable passenger seat, artificial leather/suede upholstery and red ambient lighting now Function.
