As early as the 1990s, Ford provided the "Splash" kit for the first time, when it was offered as an updated version of the Ranger pickup. It turns out that these rumors are false, because Splash is once again available as an update package for the 2022 Ranger.

First, you need to know that Splash will be available as a package and as a limited edition.

Just like the packaging provided in the 1990s, the 2022 Splash Package will include a special orange paint with black elements painted on the grille, bumper, mirror cover, wheel lip shape and fender vents. The wheels, special 18-inch 12-spoke wheels, will also be matte black.

As for the interior, it will be black combined with orange contrast stitching and a unique carbon finish with tuxedo stripes. If you choose the lasso version, you will also get a leather seat. The new Splash package is priced at $1,495 and will be available at the end of 2021.

Ford Ranger Marketing Manager Chad Callandar said: “Ranger customers like to personalize their trucks — more than 80% of customers use exterior packages to customize their Ranger — and with Splash, we provide them with something unique.” Every few months, we will introduce another exterior color for Ranger, which will only be available once and in very limited quantities."

Splash will be available in two styles, namely Splash Package and Splash™ Limited Edition. The Splash Package will be available for all model years, with orange and black graphics on the body side and special 18-inch 12-spoke wheels with a matte black finish. Ranger Splash includes orange grille nostrils, and bright black decorations on grille, bumper, mirror cover, wheel lip shape and fender vent. The interior is equipped with exclusive seats with orange contrast stitching and unique carbon grain pattern with tuxedo stripes-leather trim with lasso. Contrasting orange stitching also appeared on the steering wheel, gear lever and parking brake shoe. The Lariat model uses orange accent stitching on the front and rear armrests and the top of the dashboard.

The Splash kit can be combined with the FX2 or FX4 kit to add more off-road capabilities to its unique appearance.

Ford will also bring fresh colors by launching a series of limited-edition Splash trucks in one-off colors every few months, with only a few hundred vehicles available. It also has 18-inch matte black wheels, as well as a unique combination and finish of exterior and interior. The first batch of Splash-Snow version started.
